Spray Tan Pre/After Care Advice
Before your tan A patch test is recommended if you have never used self-tanning products before or if you have sensitive skin. Do not use any other self-tanning products 1 week before treatment.
Wax or shave at least 24 hours before treatment.
On the day of your Fake Bake treatment please avoid wearing make-up, deodorant, perfume, body oils or lotions as these may react with the tanning agents in Fake Bake self tan.
After your tan - Immediately after your treatment
Wear loose clothing
Keep skin completely dry, avoid water contact.
Do not apply any products over the developing tan.
Allow tan to develop for 6/8 hours, overnight if possible.
Avoid other beauty/hair treatments whilst tan is developing.
Avoid activities that will make you perspire
Drink hot beverages through a straw or avoid whilst tan is developing as contact with a hot cup can strip colour from around your mouth. Toothpaste can also strip colour whilst your tan is developing.
After your tan has developed
Rinse off remaining colour guide with warm/hot water, once the water runs clear wash yourself with a mild soap.
Avoid products that contain alpha hydroxy acids (AHA's) as they can strip colour.
Avoid swimming pools as chlorine will prematurely fade your tan.

Waxing After Care
Please follow these guidelines to ensure your skin is cared for properly following your waxing treatment.
Whats normal?
After waxing, especially after your first wax, it is perfectly normal to have some slight soreness, small bumps or redness. These symptoms should subside within 24-48 hours. It is essential to keep the waxed area clean and to avoid heat and friction for 24-48 hours after your waxing treatment.
This means:
No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only)
No saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments
No tanning (Sunbathing, sunbeds or fake tans)
No sport, gym work or other exercise
Avoid scratching or touching the treated area with unwashed hands
wear clean, loose fitting clothes
Avoid swimming in chlorinated pools
Do not apply deoderants, body sprays, powders, lotions or other products to the area
To soothe and protect the skin apply an antiseptic cream to the waxed area regularly for 3 days following your treatment. Always wash your hands prior to applying any product.
To prevent ingrowing hairs: Starting a few days after your appointment, gently scrub the skin 3 times a week in the bath or shower, using a loofah or exfoliating mitt. Moisturise the waxed area daily, this will keep the skin supple and help new hairs to grow through normally.
Please note: You may notice a small amount of regrowth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives best results. Hair needs to be at least ½ cm long before it can be successfully removed by waxing. Please do not shave between your appointments. To maintain your smooth appearance I recommend regular waxing every 4-6 weeks.
Massage After Care
Following a relaxing massage treatment you may experience some of the following symptoms:
Increased urination
Increased sweating
Increased thirst
Feeling sleepy, fatigued or deeply relaxed
Energised
Cold-like symptoms
Stuffy, blocked or runny nose
Headache
Hightened emotions (high or low)
Irritability
Deeper sleep than usual
As we are all different, we may experience different symptoms, if any. These symptoms should be short lived and are a sign that the massage treatment is working.
Following a massage it is advisable to do the following: Drink plenty of water, this will assist your body in flushing out the toxins that massage has released. Rest as much as possible, if you feel tired don't fight it! Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours. Avoid alcohol for 24 hours. If you have any concerns about the above following your treatment please do not hesitate to contact us. If your symptoms persist or worsen please visit your GP.

It would be recommended to have a colour confidence & make up lesson 9 to 6 month prior to your day. That leaves plenty time to practice and if in doubt enables you to book an artist in time. Decide whether you will be having colour or black/white photos. For black/white photos stay away from blue-red shades, and you may also need a little extra contouring. Give some thought to your eyebrows at least a week prior to the day. Properly groomed and shaped brows help enhance and add expression to the face - an essential step to complete your wedding make up. Use waterproof mascara, eye shadow base and eyeliner sealant. Have a powder, lipliner and lipstick on hand throughout the day.
Remember that neutral colours are always an excellent choice to achieve an enhanced natural look for a sophisticated and sexy bride. What are neutral colours? It is referred to the various shades of earth tones. Colours that are subtle and mudded. It is also an average consistency of beige and browns. Natural browns could surely come in the slight hints of pink or green or gray. Taupe for example is a popular neutral brown with a hint of plum colour to it.
What is colour coordination? All the colours used in your make up should be in the same family and coordinate well . You could either use cool tones or warm tones. Do not mix up cool and warm together. For further advice book our Colour confidence session with make up application.
What is theme coordinating? The whole look should follow the same theme (hair, make up, jewelry, gown, shoes... etc)
A note on Airbrush Make up
Is used by the Tv & media industry. It looks fine on film and screen as well as body painting. But it is pasty up close and therefore not recommended for brides make up. Good practice is to use best products (mineral make up not recomended) and manual application to avoid any risks of skin rashes and to create a flawless close up look as well as being resistant, durable and it works for pictures and film.
